The Moose Jaw Koseikan Judo Club capped off one its best ever season with its annual awards night.
Dez Henrikson won the most outstanding competitive season award after finishing a perfect 20-0.
“The coaches that have direct interaction with him say he has a lot of skill and athleticism,” said Koseikan instructor Jim Wiens.
“(Henrikson) had an incredibly rare, undefeated season all the way through judo.”
Henrikson won four gold medals including provincial gold in the under-13 under-46 kg division and a gold medal at the Sask Winter Games.
Logan Sheward, BrookeLyn Henrickson, Ryan Mogus, Helen Napadajlo and Brooke German won the spirit of judo awards.
Madelaine Stich (advanced judoka) and Chance Thorn (intermediate judoka) won the most improved honours.
Damien Wiens (novice judoka), Theodoros Hantjidis (advanced judoka) and James Windley (senior judoka) won the most promising awards.
Justin Filteau won the outstanding return to judo after nearly 10 years away from the sport. Deonne Hanson won the parent appreciation award.
