The Moose Jaw Arm Wrestling Club fulfilled its goal of having all of its competitors finish in the medals when they hosted provincials Saturday at Pappa Tees at the Hillcrest Sports Centre.
Moose Jaw’s Kayne Hemsing won the Saskatchewan Arm Wrestling Association’s right and left arm provincial titles in the men’s 176-198 lbs. class.
Billy Gravel won the left arm in the men’s 155-176 lbs. class.
Joseph Dirk was second in both arms in the 0-154 lbs. class.
Dallas Muhle was third in the boys’ right arm 154-and-over class in the juniors and was also third in the 155-176 lbs. right arm class in the men’s.
Brandon Olafson was third in the right arm in the 176-198 lbs. class.
All five Moose Jaw competitors are eligible to attend nationals in Winnipeg during the Labour Day long weekend.
Saskatoon won the overall zone title, with their competitor Tyrrell Wojcichowsky winning the top male award at the event as well as winning the Fred Roy award for sportsmanship and dedication to arm wrestling in Saskatchewan.
Lacey Borstmayer was the top female and Jason Matthews was named the top rookie.
