Moose Jaw's Pat Simmons suffered his first defeat of the 2008 Tim Hortons Brier in Winnipeg on Monday morning.

Moose Jaw's Pat Simmons suffered his first defeat of the 2008 Tim Hortons Brier in Winnipeg on Monday morning.
Alberta's Kevin Martin defeated Saskatchewan 7-4 in this morning's draw. The loss drops Saskatchewan to 3-1, while Alberta stays unbeaten at 4-0.
Alberta is joined at the top of the standings at 4-0 by Manitoba, which defeated New Brunswick this morning and Ontario, which defeated Northern Ontario.
In the other game, B.C. defeated former champion Jean-Michel Menard of Quebec. Both teams are now 1-3.
