Moose Jaw - As the old saying goes, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
Well, that is the case for the spring-like conditions Moose Jaw has been revelling in for the last few days.
According to Environment Canada meteorologist Bob Cormier, the above normal temperatures will soon be leaving, only to be replaced by much colder temperatures.
The drop in temperatures will be the result of a low pressure system crossing the northern part of the province.
Cormier said as the system moves across the Prairies, a northerly flow of colder air will be following close behind causing the drop.
He said today will be the transition day with a high of -1 C. Thursday will begin with its high of -6 C and fall slowly throughout the day into the mid-minus teens.
The cooler conditions will last into the early part of next week.
Cormier said at this time there is no indication of snow or rain. However, by the end of next week, when temperatures are once again on the rise we could see some moisture develop.
An upside to the fluctuation in temperature, is that for the most part Moose Javians can expect blue skies and by the end of next week temperatures will be back to normal or above.
So long warm weather
