The Vanier Spirits junior girls high school basketball team came from behind to beat Riverview/Cornerstone 42-37 Wednesday.
The Spirits were down eight at half and six after three quarters before coming back to win. Megan Auger and Sulia Moses each had seven points to Vanier. Emily Reidy added five points. Amanda Geradts scored 10 points for Riverview/Cornerstone, while Marissa Mellor had eight and Laura Taylor had six.
In the other junior girls game Central beat Peacock 65-57. Hana Zymberi scored 13 points for Central and Miranda Goettler added eight. Megan Armbruster led Peacock with 14 points.
In junior boys play, Central beat Peacock 68-65.
Zach Lethbridge led Central with 17 points, while Joel Forer added 14. Tyrus Ring-Fedora scored 13 points for Peacock, while Stephen Holzer and Chey Havanka each had 12 points.
In the other junior boys game, Vanier beat Craik 68-21. Joey Lynnes led the Vikings with 14 points, while Evan Ehman had nine points for Craik.
