The Moose Jaw Senior Ladies Fastball Tournament has become a victim of the weather.
The annual tournament was postponed late Thursday night when organizers decided that trying to go ahead with the wet weather was unrealistic.
“The diamonds aren’t in very good shape,” said Moose Jaw women’s league president Caralie Wait. “They can only hold so much water.”
There will be plenty of high level tournaments in the city this year, however, The Intermediate B women’s provincials will be hosted by Moose Jaw at the end of July and the Western Masters will be as well in early August.
“We have two major tournaments coming up this year on our diamonds, so we didn’t want to ruin them,” said Wait.
