Be sure to welcome all the little Spider-Men and princesses who come to your door tonight, but don't forget the food bank will also be calling.
The annual food bank drive is happening again this year in conjunction with Halloween. Most homeowners in the city will have received a paper bag in last weekend's Sunday Times to pack with non-perishable food items to be donated to the local food bank.
This is one of the biggest food bank drives of the year and donations in the past have been overwhelming.
While some people will be able to fill the bag with supplies from their cupboards, others will have to do a little extra shopping to make a donation. But it would serve many people well to realize someday it could be them needing help from a food bank.
If you don't want to do the shopping, have a cheque or some money on hand when the volunteers come to call tonight. Money helps a lot, too.
