Team Saskatchewan saw it's medal hopes come to a disappointing end in women's soccer at the Canada Summer Games Thursday afternoon. Saskatchewan - including Moose Jaw's Jessica Meyer - dropped a 5-0 decision to Alberta in their quarterfinal match-up and as a result have been relegated to the consolation side of the tournament. Michelle Smith scored twice for Alberta while Cara Patterson, Kayla Michaels and Jenn Vos all had single markers. Team Sask faces Nova Scotia in their consolation semifinal contest today and move on to the fifth-sixth place game with a win, seventh-eighth place game with a loss. Kehlsie Crone and the women's basketball team weren't in action Thursday, having completed their round robin pool with a 1-4 record Wednesday. They take on Prince Edward Island in the ninth-10th place game today.
