But some wins aren’t much fun to take.
The Vanier Spirits beat the Caronport Cougars 9-0 in girls soccer Tuesday, and Vanier coach Rick Spanjer said it wasn’t exactly the type of victory a team relishes.
“What do you say about a 9-0 game?” he said. “You wish you could have a 3-2 win or something.”
Still, Spanjer couldn’t complain about coming out on the winning end, and the longer he thought the more positives he was able to come up with. One obvious choice was the play of Molly Cox, who recorded a hat trick.
In other soccer action, Peacock defeated Weyburn 3-2 Tuesday. Amy van den Hooven, Brook Bailey and Toni Williams-Greatorex scored for Peacock, while Emily Tant and Paige van de Sype had Weyburn’s tallies.
