After 100 minutes of scoreless action, the Peacock Tornadoes beat the Central Cyclones 1-0 after penalty kicks Friday night.
Peacock advances to the Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association’s 2A provincial girls soccer championships thanks to the win.
The will face Vanier Saturday at noon at Sunningdale Field in the regional final which will detemine their seeding at provincials.
Both teams created plenty of chances, but weren’t able to score.
Kyla Hambly, Josie Phillips and Toni Williams-Greatorex scored for the Tornadoes in the shootout, while Central’s Rachel Riendeau and Amy Piche both scored for the Cyclones.
Peacock keeper Meghan Kardash stopped two penalty kicks to help lead the Tornadoes to the victory.
