The Moose Jaw Bandidos opened their indoor soccer season with a 2-1 win over Queen City United, but lost 1-0 to Phoenix Sunday night and sit with a 1-1 record in the Regina Soccer League’s Women’s Division II.

In their season opening win, rookie Amber Dorais opened the scoring for the season when she alertly pounced on a wayward backpass to score into an empty net.

Queen City tied the game, but Jenna Winkler stole the ball from a Queen City defender and made a pass to send Alyson Gerhart in alone and Gerhart scored the game-winning goal with a confident finish.

   

Arina Naismith earned the win in goal.
