A few weeks can make a big difference in the world of sport.
When the Moose Jaw Breakers high performance inline hockey teams went to Regina for a series of games, they came home winless in six attempts.
Fast-forward a few weeks - and with a couple of tournaments under their belts - and the Breakers won five of the six games against the Regina Inline Association Saturday to conclude their season.
The games in Regina were played on concrete which took some getting used to for the Moose Jaw players who are used to the Sportcourt flooring at the Kinsmen Arena.
"I think the surface definitely had an impact. Our kids are used to it and theirs weren't," said Jim Cannon.
"Probably the biggest impact is that our teams had hit a couple of tournaments and got some playing together and were starting to gel as teams and playing a real team game."
