After the multiplex presentation, audience members had an opportunity to voice their concerns and ask questions.
One of the big concerns shared by many of the people at the presentation was the lack of parking around the facility.
Both Brian Quiring and Dean Huggins from MQN Architects said they couldn't really comment on the parking situation, but did say the Moose Jaw facility has the least amount of parking space out of the four arenas it has designed.
One of the suggestions made by the public was to put a parkade in the north parking lot on the site.
Tyler Pasquill of Ventana Construction Corporation said although this would be an expensive solution, it is one the city could consider in the future.

Clifford you idiot what has the contravercy been for the last 5 years where the plex should have been build I do not even know what drugs you are on WE DID NOT VOTE ON THIS LOCATION YOU DUMB A## WE VOTED ON THE MULTIPLEX.........................GET IT????????????? So don't even go there, I can't believe you even said that my god. If the vote was for location I can tell you right now it would be going somewhere else because out of the 60% that voted 2% would have voted on that location and that would be the council and their wives that bought all the property down there knowing they were going to sell it to the city somehow that's like insider trading to me.

I am not sure why people are so worried about parking??? Do you go to a hockey game to watch hockey or brag about how close of a parking spot you get. There was nothing Dale or the other four could of done about this. The citizens of this town voted to put it down town and this is what they got.

It's My understanding that there was somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 people at the sod turning, and most of them including Boughen, parked in the Safeway lot. What does this tell you? Pay up or pay attention citizens, the McBain train is on a runaway, with our taxes.

The sheep voted as they were told to by the Fab Five on Council and the Steering Committee. Everyone knew that there was not going to be enough parking downtown, even Council, who tried to solve the problem by amending the Parking Bylaw and avoiding all direct questions regarding the issue or plain lying about the numbers available. That was the time for the sheep to speak up and demand either enough parking or a better site. Council worded the referendum question , and were allowed to do so, because the location part was left out of the petition. We all know that few taxpayers really wanted the Multiplex downtown but were somewhat manipulated by Mcbain and his sheep. The time for action against the Multiplex was back in Februrary when it would have made a difference. We were led to believe we would lose the millions of dollars in grants if we did not put it downtown. I don't believe that the money was tied to location in anyone's mind but Dale, his sheep, and their Council supporters. Sorry we now have to put up with what we have now. The shovels have disturbed the pile and it doesn't smell very well!!

Actually the polls showed almost a three way split 1/3 wanted it downtown, 1/3 on 9th avenue and 1/3 in the same location. No matter what they did most of the people wouldve been unhappy.BTW

Locations are not dumb, but some people are.
How can you say 2% would have voted for downtown? There is no basis of fact there. Do you have any proof that council and their wives bought the property downtown? It sounds like you are either jealous that you didn't invest downtown, or you enjoy spreading false facts. -
