Operations at 15 Wing Moose Jaw will hit a few minor bumps this week as work is done to ensure the planes don't hit any.
Both runways at the base will be completely resurfaced over the course of about 10 days. The runways are still in working order but the pavement is nearing the end of its life expectancy as the runways were last resurfaced in 1986.
"The impact on our operations will be minimal since resurfacing work will be done on one runway at a time," said Major Steve Ollinger, Wing operartions manager.
Harvard and Tutor flights at the Wing were to continue as normally scheduled, while the Hawks will be flying out of 4 Wing Cold Lake for the duration of the work.
The relocation of the Hawk flights means five instructors and six students will work temporarily out of Cold Lake.
