Whether it's singles or doubles badminton - Moose Jaw's Kevin Pilsworth stands tall among Canada's fire and police services.
Pilsworth won a gold medal in doubles and a silver in singles at the Can-Am Police and Fire Games in Saskatoon July 14-15.
One of the badminton coaches at Central Collegiate in addition to being a member of the Moose Jaw Police Service, Pilsworth showed up without a partner for doubles but played with a Saskatoon firefighter and they ended up winning gold.
"We played really well together considering it was our first time together, but we managed to win the gold," said Pilsworth, recently promoted to Corporal in the police service. "There was a number of teams that came that had been playing together for some time and there were a few teams that had played before that put in for partners."
