Vanier’s Keegan Arnyek had a day for the ages — and the record books — at the Moose Jaw Invitational track and field meet at Gutheridge Field.
Arnyek won all four events he competed in and broke meet records in three of those as he help lead his school to the overall team title.
Arnyek began his day by breaking an 11-year-old record in the junior boys triple jump with a leap of 12.55 metres.
He followed that by breaking the 100m and 200m sprint records with times of 11.03 and 22.86 seconds respectively.
He wasn’t the only record breaker.
Central’s Jina Barker broke the senior girls triple jump record with a leap of 11.13 metres. Peacock’s McKenna Ehman set a new record in the midget girls shot put with a throw of 9.93 metres.
