The Cyclones posted scores of 25-10, 25-21 and 25-15.
Central coach Brad Hennenfent wasn’t too happy about the mental focus of his team in the early goings.
“A whole bunch of our kids didn’t step up and weren’t ready to play right off the bat,” he said. “I wanted to get some of our other kids in the line up to play, and those are the kids who need to show what they can do. If we’re looking down the bench for a sub down the road, they’re the ones that have to be there.”
Avonlea coach Chelsee Olsen was similarly disappointed with her girls’ effort.
“We weren’t really with it,” she said. “We were quiet, we got down on ourselves early and it was downhill from there. Not our best showing.”
