Vanier girls and Central boys both advance to volleyball provincials

In the girls 4A regional in Shaunavon, Vanier qualified for provincials with a 25-23, 25-15 win over Rosetown. The Spirits lost the regional final 9-25, 27-25, 25-20 to Notre Dame and now both schools will advance to provincials.

Vanier finished second in their pool after all three teams posted 1-1 records. Caronport were 0-2 in their pool.

In the boys 5A southern regional in Weyburn, Central beat Yorkton Regional 25-21, 25-20 to advance to provincials.

Central finished 1-2 in pool play, but beat Vanier in the quarter-finals to advance. In the semis they lost 25-12, 25-15 to Estevan.

Vanier was second in their pool with a 1-1 record.

Balgonie and Estevan joins Central in qualifying for provincials.
