The Moose Jaw Kinsmen Flying Fins ended their season with some fast times and a lot of fun.
The Fins had 36 swimmers compete in the 43rd annual Summerfest at the Dewar pool this past weekend.
"I'm ecstatic," said Fins coach Monty Smith. "The number one rule and the thing I always say is that the kids have to have fun. They were having fun, water fights, throwing coaches in at the end of the meet."
Summerfest was the final meet of the year for most of the Fins, but a few of the older, more competitive simmers will attend other meets during the summer. Krystal Shaw will be at the Can-Am Para Swimming Championships in Edmonton July 30 to Aug. 1.
While it was the end of the season for a lot of the competitive swimmers, it was the competitive debut for many young swimmers.
