SOUTHEY, Sask. - RCMP have found the body of an 18-year-old man who disappeared while swimming in a lake northwest of Regina.

The body was discovered by a police boat that was searching near an area called Rowan's Ravine on Last Mountain Lake.

Police say the body was recovered in shallow water in a different area from where divers were searching.

The man's name has not been released by police.

The man, who turned 18 last Saturday, was swimming with two friends when he disappeared Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the weather and water conditions are believed to have contributed to his death.
