Moose Jaw -
"In looking at the event, Moose Jaw stood out as an unique and new experience for many of the anticipated 300 people who will arrive from Western Canada and the northern United States in their vintage and collector cars."
Speaking on behalf of the Regina Antique Auto Association, Larry Howlett said his group's 48th annual International Antique Auto Meet, which Moose Jaw is hosting from July 2-5, will attract a variety of interesting automobiles.
In order to allow the vehicle owners to show off their classic cars to the public, the group requested council allow the temporary closure of Langdon Crescent, from Fairford Street East to Athabasca Street East on July 5 (from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) for a Show and Shine. During Monday's council meeting, following a presentation by Howlett, council unanimously approved the association's request.
