Outgoing Moose Jaw chamber president considers past 12 months

At the Moose Jaw and District Chamber of Commerce annual general meeting and president’s event, Wednesday night, approximately 80 local business representatives and chamber members gathered at the Officers’ Mess at 15 Wing to reflect on the year past and look towards the year to come.

In his final minutes as the chamber’s president, Pisio said although 2008-09 was a year of change for the city of Moose Jaw, it was also a year of great success.
    “Acting as the voice of business, (the chamber) seemed to be kept quite busy.”
    He said the chamber has been involved in 12 different programs and organizations around the city — including tourism and economic development. The chamber also held 12 different events and 12 different informational meetings, and did it all within 12 months.
