Ryan Tatum, 29, and Nicole Bouchard, 21, are facing a slate of charges including break and enter, robbery, wearing a mask while committing an indictable offence, using a firearm while committing an indictable offence, threatening and several charges related to firearm possession, according to a police release.

Bouchard will appear in court March 25 for a show cause hearing. Tatum will appear on the same day, but the defence said it will not be seeking his release.

Both have been remanded in custody for the time being.

The incident occurred Wednesday morning at a residence on Ninth Avenue Northwest.

The homeowner alleged two people forced their way into the residence, demanded cash, and produced a handgun.

They left after obtaining cash, the homeowner told police.

Police searched the accused's home and vehicle and located the firearm. Some of their property, as well as the firearm, were seized.

The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
